GIZ in partnership with the Nepal Government, European Union and Finland Government has been implementing the Green Resilient Agricultural Productive Ecosystem (GRAPE) project in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Province of Nepal to promote inclusive local economic development through climate-resilient green economic growth in a period of 2019-2024. GIZ contracted Paribartan to deliver training on Local Economic Development Tools for Ward Chairs and Members in 19 GRAPE project partner municipalities in 6 clusters in these two provinces from October 16, 2023, to December 15, 2023.  The nineteen trainings were delivered in the municipality locations through 12 LRED expert trainers assigned by Paribartan. The participants were selected by GIZ and partner municipalities making sure the representation of participants was from the GESI perspective. The logistics for training were organized and managed by the LPED/GRAPE project Clusters team. A total of 374 participants trained on LED in 19 partner municipalities. Of them, 126  ( 34%) were women leaders of the wards.
