Dr. Shrestha is Chairperson of Naya Nepal Laghu Bitta Bikas Bank Limited (NNLBL). He has more than 30 years of experience working in rural, agriculture and micro-finance, and cooperative development in Nepal as Executive Director for NNLBL, Chief Executive Officer of Small Farmers Development Bank Limited, Deputy CEO for Agricultural Development Bank and National Team Leader and Microfinance Expert for ADB financed project in Nepal
His areas of expertise include Agriculture/Rural finance, Microfinance, Cooperative, and Rural Development. He has been involved in rural finance and microfinance sector since 1976. He is the author of Financial Performance of Small Farmers Cooperative Limited in Nepal book. He has published several articles in various Journals and presented papers in national and international workshops and seminars. Dr. Shrestha holds Ph.D. in Economics.
